Method
- Mix together the flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
- Add the eggs, warm milk, butter and vanilla, then whisk until the batter is smooth.
- Cover the batter and let it rest until it rises slightly (about 30 minutes).
- Heat the waffle iron and brush it with a little butter.
- Pour in a ladleful of batter and close the iron until the waffle is cooked and golden.
- Lift it out and serve hot with chocolate, icing sugar and fruit.
